Privacy
Core tools work without sign-in. A tank saved locally stays in browser storage on that device.
Local plans
AquaDepth stores a local tank plan only when you choose Save locally. You can clear it by removing site data in your browser. Exported JSON is downloaded directly to your device.
Fish identification photos
When you choose Identify this fish, your browser resizes the selected image and sends it to AquaDepth's identification endpoint. AquaDepth does not add the image or result to its database or object storage. The image and prompt are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis; under Anthropic's standard commercial API policy, inputs and outputs are normally deleted from its backend within 30 days, subject to its policy exceptions.
Analytics
The product is prepared for privacy-conscious event counts, but analytics remain disabled unless configured. Exact tank contents, emails and share identifiers are excluded from analytics events.
Corrections
An optional email is used only to discuss a submitted correction. Submissions never change published data automatically.
